TESTING

Third-party data collection and in-house data collection refer to two different methods of gathering and use of information. Below are the main differences between the two:

  1. Source of Data:
    • Third-Party Data Collection: This involves acquiring data from external laboratories or related platforms that have collected and analyzed the data themselves. These third parties generally aggregate data from a variety of standardized data sets, then generate a final report outlining their statistical data and other analysis.
    • In-House Data Collection: This involves gathering data directly from our own sources, such as clients, focus groups, in-house laboratories and field data collected during our Pilot Programs, apps, customer surveys, or verifiable EDL system data sets.
  2. Quality and Relevance of Data:
    • Third-Party Data: Because of the nature of GTL products, the 3rd party laboratories engaged are top-tier, ASTM, (American Society of Testing and Material) ISO (International Organization for Standardization) accredited, nationally recognized, industry related and respected entities. Data is collected and aggregated using multidisciplinary approaches to retrieving, analyzing and reporting data sets.
    • In-House Data: Since this data is gathered directly from our own sources and customers, it is often more relevant and accurate being that these data sets are collected through “in use” and field operations outside of strict laboratory conditions. Because of our constant monitoring of our field performance, we have instant access to this information these reports in some cases is maybe more current and accurate. All GTL data is cross checked by an experienced and accurate 3rd party professionals and services prior to publishing on our websites and literature.
  3. Data Privacy and Compliance:
    • Third-Party Data: When using third-party data, we observe the compliancy of data privacy regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, etc. The data is collected and managed by and verified and reputable external laboratories.
    • In-House Data: With in-house data collection, GTL has more control over data privacy and compliances, and take full responsibility for data collection, storage and the reports generated from these data-sets. We also guarantee that all data is gathered with explicit user consent and handled according to legal and strict scientific guidelines through calibrated equipment.
